Don’t
get comfortable with the idea that you know what to expect from A South
Dakota Acoustic Christmas.
This year’s statewide tour features new voices, new rhythms and a new
sound, making this a truly extraordinary holiday experience. Acoustic
Christmas features a cadre of popular South Dakota artists, with this
year’s special feature, Minnesota native Noah Hoehn.

All performances are fund-raising efforts on behalf of sponsoring
organizations.
Noah Hoehn is a two time recipient of the prestigious McKnight Artist
Fellowship for Performing Musicians. He is known regionally for his
incredible blues harmonica and plays regularly with the popular Twin
Cities acoustic group, Boyd Lee and Joe Cruz.

He also books, composes for, and performs with his
original rock band, Vicious Aloysius. Hoehn recently played harmonica in
the Minnesota Opera’s world premier production of “The Grapes of Wrath”
at the Ordway in St. Paul, MN. Hoehn has also been featured in numerous
performances at the Worthington Windsurfing Regatta and Unvarnished
Music Festival.
His solo performances also include appearances on National Public
Radio’s Morning Show and Michael Feldman’s Whad’ya Know? produced by
Public Radio International from the Washington Pavilion in Sioux Falls.
Hoehn is a Worthington, MN, native and received his degree in music
performance (percussion) at Augustana College in Sioux Falls.
Guest performers Jeremy Hegg and Jon Hegg rejoin A South Dakota Acoustic
Christmas this year. Jeremy Hegg has worked as musical arranger for the
group in recent years, bringing a fresh and vibrant sound to a variety
of holiday tunes. The Hegg brothers are best known for their band
Spooncat! and other musical work in the region.
