Hi Web Surfer,
My name is Rob aka Photo Enhancer. I am the Webmaster of the Photo Enhancer Websites. I have been designing web pages with Search Engine Optimization (SEO) in mind since 1996. Through the years I have made a ton of mistakes while developing the SEO
process I use to achieve top ten page listings. The tried and proven methods of achieving those top ten web page listings in search engines are outlined below:

Search Engine Optimization (SEO) begins and ends with the proper use of keywords: Keywords are the words you use to describe the product on your Webpages. Keywords are also the words Web Surfers use to find your Web Pages on Search Engines. Notice I said surfers find Web Pages - not Website. Your Website (no matter what the size) is like a book that contains pages of content. The difference being books are found by Title while Websites are found by the keywords used on the Webpages. This sounds convoluted at first, but it's a Godsend in reality. You can and should target different keywords for every web page on your site to give your Website maximum exposure to Web Surfers. Messing up the Title of a book can have a high impact on it's readership. Messing up the Title of your Website can have little impact on it's readership if you have good content and the Webpages have good keywords targeted to that page only. So, what are keywords and where do you use them? Keywords are one or more words that describe what a web page is about. You should only use a few keywords in your description of a Webpage. The contents of that web page should relate to the keywords you use. A combination of these keywords should be used for links to that Webpage. Note the link to my Email address Encryptor page on the right. My Email Address Encryptor Web Page uses the following keywords:
The above keywords are used extensively throughout the email_address_encryptor.htm Web Page as well as in the file name and the folder name the file resides in on the Internet. I'll show you some legitimate tricks you can use to sprinkle keywords into your Webpages later. The Computer Side Addins Program will do this automatically. Choosing the right keywords: The keywords you use on your Webpages should be related to the content of that page. But, more importantly, keywords must be words Web Surfers look for. And finally, the keywords you choose should be ones that have little competition. The best web page ever designed is worthless if no one sees it. Therefore, the formula for finding successful keywords is: Popular keywords + relevancy + little competition = Success |

How to find keywords that meet the criteria in the above formula:
The best source I have found to find keywords that meet the above criteria is Worktracker. Click here to go to Wordtracker (This link will open in a new Window - click on the Trial or Free Trial link to use it). Wordtracker has a free service that allows you to enter prospective keywords and get a listing of related keywords. You can then select up to 30 keywords from the related keyword listings and get a report on their popularity and how much competition there is out there for those keywords. The report that is produced is emailed to you automatically after it is compiled. You have to try the service to understand what I am talking about. But, in a nutshell, the compiled report emailed to you has a column listing called KEI.
The KEI tells you how good a prospective keyword is. The higher the KEI value, the better. I try to target related keywords with a KEI of 100 or better. It is not uncommon to run across keywords that seem unrelated to your Web Page with a very high KEI value. I often find, after giving it some thought, ways to tie these high value keywords into my Webpages. You should too. An example of this is the keywords desktop wallpaper which I use as a link to one of my change background pages. Both of these keywords words have a high KEI value and yet do not seem related to changing picture backgrounds at first glance. The moral being, as you go through the list of words brought up by WordTracker, select keywords even if they are only remotely related to the theme of the web page. They may turn out to have a high KEI value and you may find a way to work them into a web page. I keep an Excel Database on all the keywords I select for future reference. I often find myself referring to this database for new Webpage ideas.
Where to use keywords:
Meta tags are the first thing Search Engines see when they spider your Web Page and that's the first place to put your keywords. The Meta Tag Analyzer Program will aid you in creating Search Engine Friendly Meta Tags. Click here to order the Meta Tag Analyzer program.
