The Community Coaltion for Violence Prevention is a grassroots community oriented organization which meets to discuss issues of violence in the Rapid City area. The Coalition was created with the idea that violence on all levels (non-verbal, verbal, and physical) can be eliminated through education and communication. Since its beginnings in early 1995, coalition members have met regularly and sponsored community events to promote violence prevention. The S.A.V.E. Rapid City movement is intended to be a long-term project that creates dialogue on violence prevention and becomes a grassroots resource for community-wide participation. Any resident of Rapid City may consider him or herself to be a member of S.A.V.E. Rapid City. All meetings are open to everyone. Attend the next S.A.V.E. meeting and join the coalition.
